benteng droga ang hiling ni itay

My dad hasn't been feeling well since last night and he's not feeling any better today. I knew he was really in pain a while ago when he opened his mouth and said..

Papa: "Mariel..."

Mariel: "pa?.. (silently that only my nosehairs could hear my voice)

Papa: "Mariel....lika sandali"

Mariel: "pa..baket? (a little louder but not too loud coz i was afraid he might answer "buldet")

Papa: "Mariel..!"

Mariel: "o papa, baket? (immediately went out of the room.ehe)

Papa: " Pabili moko sampung Alaxan at sampung Bioflu"

Mariel: ...

okay.. after 30 seconds of silence, I suddenly felt how much pain he was feeling.. and do you know that "feeling" when you are in doubt that what you are about to do is right.. that you kind of just stare for a while, suddenly your heartbeat skyrockets from 72bpm to 172bpm,(did i just say skyrockets? could this be writing task 1 of the ielts? hehe.) anyway, that's just how i felt. so..i tried to think of a logical reason for the skyrocketing of my heartbeat etc etc..
then i figured, I heard from somewhere that Bioflu is already a banned drug.

and, SAMPUNG alaxan, SAMPUNG bioflu? that was just...disturbing. (with images on my head of papa taking these droga all at the same time)

i still wasn't very sure, so i googled it.

read on guys..

BFAD warns against US-banned drugs

MANILA – The Philippine Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) warned the public Friday against medici.nes that contain phenylpropanolamine (PPA), a nasal decongestant agent earlier banned by the US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).The US FDA found in a study that PPA, which is used in some drugs for cold and flu, could cause hemorrhagic stroke among women and seizures in children.“My advise to the public is to read the label and make sure. Stay away from PPA-containing products,” BFAD Director Leticia Barbara Gutierrez said in a radio interview. She said her agency will release a list of brands containing PPA.Gutierrez said the US FDA is already taking steps to remove PPA from all drug products. She said their US counterpart had also requested all drug companies to “discontinue marketing products containing PPA.”Some drug manufacturing companies, however, have already reformulated their cold relief medicines and removed the PPA, Gutierrez said. She said some drug firms are now using another type of nasal decongestant called phenylephrine. “They removed the PP and replaced it with another nasal decongestant, phenylephrine,” she said.Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr. on Thursday sent a letter to BFAD asking for the recall of such drugs. - PNSthat contain PPA after receiving reports about the US FDA’s study.“I understand certain drugs can be bought in the Philippines over the counter, such as Alkaseltzer, Dimetapp, Robitussin, Dexatrim, Bioflu, Neozep, Sinutab and Decolgen,” Pimentel said. - PNS

aaw.. this is the end of my blog and still am not sleepy, (chuper ekchayted ako sabi ni Josh) kase magkita na kame tomorrow. at magpartey with the tropa sa paresan ni Pams.

Godbless!

*"buldet"- or "buldit" is a kapampangan term for ass/buttocks/gluteus maximus.
*Pams"-alias of my sister,Jam. short for paminta (funnier representation of the moles on her face) She suggested Pepper, but I thought it was corny and i didnt like the sound of peps, thus the name pams. but pams is just my second choice. my first choice was actually peklat but she refused, coz she didnt like to be called peks. and arte. haha.
